What is the mosaic actually made of?

Glass smalti and glazed ceramic tesserae, 8–14 mm, cut with a hammer and hardie and set in lime mortar on a 12 mm sealed birch panel, then grouted, cleaned and waxed. No print, no resin, no vinyl. The materials page lists every specific.

What sizes does it come in?

Two: 30 × 30 cm and 50 × 50 cm, both square, both the same build. The 30 cm panel suits a wall you pass, by the stairs or on a landing; the 50 cm panel wants a wall it can hold on its own. The sizing guide compares them.

How much does a portrait from my photo cost?

From $139.99 for the 30 cm panel; the 50 cm panel costs more, and both prices are shown live when you choose the size after approving the design. Designing costs nothing, and the card is only charged at checkout.

How long will it take?

The drawing takes Tedooo about a minute. Approval, then checkout, then the panel is made within two weeks and posted in a tracked crate; the shipping time on top is the estimate checkout shows for your country.

Do you ship to me?

We ship worldwide, in a double-walled crate with foam corners, tracked end to end. Checkout works out the postage and any customs charges, and shows the delivery estimate for your address.

Can I return it?

A panel drawn from your photo is set for one household and cannot be sent back. That is the reason you see and approve the design before any money changes hands, and the reason cutting waits for your checkout to clear. Ask us anything first; one of the artisans replies, normally before the day is out.

Which photo should I send?

A single animal, face turned more or less toward the lens, both eyes showing; daylight helps. Focus is not critical. A subject facing away, or three dogs at once in one panel, will not work. The photo guide has the full list.

Where is it made, and who makes it?

In our US studio, by a team of mosaic artisans in one workshop; a machine has never touched the panel, and every one leaves signed on the back. Tedooo draws the design from your photo, and we sell through Tedooo as well.
